My son got to meet his new little cousin Keaton when he visited from Northwest Iowa for his very first session at just 9 days old. He was able to demonstrate (several times) that his digestive system was working just fine. 
I’ve never had a newborn that hasn’t gone at least once, though, so par for the course! Other than that he was a champ, a great sleeper, and despite the adorable chubbiness, quite flexible. Welcome Keaton!
Met up at a beautiful neighborhood West of Omaha for this one, lots of great trees, a waterfall, pond, winding roads… Will definitely have to keep it in my bag of tricks for future sessions! We fought the wind in some of the open areas, but all in all, the weather has been so cooperative this fall! It’s fun photographing older kids, too, so different to have subjects who can follow instructions. Have to find that balance between being too ‘picky’ and keeping it natural.
Also got to pull out my 24mm lens for the circle shot at the end, love love love that one!
This little peanut was super sweet and did really well during our session! Love the adorable birdie hat her mom had, might have to get one for myself! So sad to see this family move away from Omaha, though. Got to do maternity and newborn photos, but won’t get to see her grow for 3, 6, 9 or 1 year sessions. 
Maybe they’ll come back and visit…
